WELCOME. The Patriots 05 Girls team is holding tryouts for the Fall 2020 / Spring 2021 seasonal year for players born in 05 or 06.
LEVEL OF PLAY: The 05 team is a NorCal State Premiere TOP level team that this past season was qualified for the knock-out round of 32 in the “State Cup” division of the State Cup competition (until COVID-19 forced the competition to cancel). See this link for the official NorCal Premiere State Cup Listing of the top 32 teams.
The team focuses on playing vs. TOP level teams in the region at tournaments and college showcases. For the official team rankings and game history, see our gotsoccer page at this link.
OBJECTIVE: We have an extremely committed, high level competitive team that has a couple of spots available for like minded players as we look to add depth and strength to the team for the upcoming year. The team, which has several ODP players in both age groups, 05’s & 06’s, is looking to compete as a purely “traveling” team at Gold-Premier events, college showcases & NorCal.
So if your daughter would like to tryout, please register at this link and we will contact you with details to have her attend one of our training sessions as soon as we are able to set them up as field and social distancing restrictions allow.
Age: Players born in 2005 & 2006 will be considered for the 05/06 group (Download Flyer)
New U9 Girls Team (Born 2012) for the Fall 2020 forming. See this Page for information.

Great Basin Youth Soccer League (GBYSL), and the PATRIOTS ACADEMY, strongly encourage ALL young athletes attending competitive soccer tryouts, to actively participate in different club or team tryouts. So that they may fully understand the training program or benefits that each team or club may offer to them. Participating in any soccer club or independent team tryouts does not register you to play, nor does it bind you to that particular club or team. For information on clubs and teams in Northern Nevada, visit www.GBYSL.org
The Patriots Academy is organized to provide select players an environment where they can concentrate on soccer development, personal growth, and learning in order to win and succeed through the process. We aim to provide an environment where children learn and become motivated to participate, improving their opportunities to succeed on the field and off the field.
Through our continued work, we believe the Patriots Academy can reach children and youth in challenging circumstances through soccer; we can do our part to help the United States soccer community catch up with the rest of world; prevent top prospects from falling through the cracks; create cultural awareness; provide community service; and help develop self-esteem and character through organized structured social interaction.
